The Victorian Screen Rebate (VSR) program is an economic development initiative that offers grants to support screen work undertaken in Victoria. 

The VSR supports three streams of activity: 

1. Physical Production; 
2. Digital Games, Animation, Post-Production and Visual Effects; and 
3. Filming in Regional Victoria. 

Applications must meet specific minimum expenditure requirements: 

• AUD$3.5m of Qualifying Victorian Expenditure (QVE) for Physical Production projects;  
• AUD$0.5m of QVE for Digital Games, Animation, Post-Production & Visual Effects projects; or
• AUD$0.1m of Qualifying Victorian Regional Expenditure (QVRE) for Regional Production projects which must also complete a minimum five days of filming in regional Victoria and have the majority of cast and crew accommodated in a regional area close to the filming location.
